 Exercise Prescription
Aerobic Conditioning
The stats are scary: this year alone, 250,000 Americans will die from inactivity, and half of these deaths will be from a cardiovascular disease.
BUT NOT YOU!
Youve made the choice to improve your cardio condition. Whether its walking, running, swimming, spinning, step, high- or low-impact aerobics, water aerobics, boxing and well vary the program to keep it interesting as you progress.
Once you decide to work with Barracks, well conduct a Fitness Evaluation to determine your condition before we start.
 Muscle Training
Muscle training is the fast track to fitness. We can use free weights, weight machines, resistance bands and the weight of your own body to build muscle and pare down fat.
Well assess your body strength before we start working out with a thorough Fitness Evaluation, and then design a program that will help you meet your Health and Fitness Goals.
Combat Osteoporosis
Bone loss is a big issue for postmenopausal women. Weight-bearing exercise builds muscle and boneand it builds a brighter future, too.
When you fill out the Health History Profile let us know if youve had a bone density scan, a family history of osteoporosis or are currently on any medication.
 Flexibility Training
Flexibility is so essential that we stretch before, during and after your workout. This minimizes pain and maximizes gains.
Well measure your current flexibility during the Fitness Evaluation, and conduct periodic assessments to measure the progress you make. |
